David Ankrum was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. Ankrum kickstarted his acting career with films like "The Student Body" (1976) with Warren Stevens and Jillian Kesner. He also appeared in the TV movie "Tell Me Where It Hurts" (CBS, 1973-74). He had a part on the television special "Tabitha" (ABC, 1976-77). His film career continued throughout the seventies and the eighties in productions like the action flick "The Zebra Force" (1976) with Mike Lane and the Jackie Gleason comedy sequel "The Sting II" (1982). His work around this time also included a part on the TV movie "Pleasure Cove" (NBC, 1978-79). During the latter half of his career, Ankrum wrote scripts for "13 East" (NBC, 1988-1990) and "Roc" (Fox, 1990-94). In addition to his writing, Ankrum also appeared in "The Big Five" (NBC, 1987-88). Ankrum more recently wrote "Getting By" (1992-94).
