Darrow began her career with roles in the Dick Powell comedy adaptation "Susan Slept Here" (1954), "The French Line" (1954) and "Diane" (1956). Later, Darrow acted in "The Mountain" (1956), the Tim Holt horror flick "The Monster That Challenged the World" (1957) and the sci-fi motion picture "Queen of Outer Space" (1958) with Zsa Zsa Gabor. She also appeared in "Tall Story" (1960) with Anthony Perkins. Later in her career, Darrow acted on "Doctors Hospital" (NBC, 1975-76).
