Biography
William Andrews was an actor who made a successful career for himself in film. Andrews worked on a variety of projects during his early entertainment career, including "King's Rhapsody" with Errol Flynn (1955), "Last of the Comanches" with Broderick Crawford (1953) and "Lolita" (1961) starring James Mason. He also contributed to "Saturday Night Fever" (1977), "The Brady Bunch" (ABC, 1969-1974) and "The Gambler" (1974). Andrews was nominated for an Outstanding Achievement In Film Sound Editing Primetime Emmy Award for "Police Woman" in 1976 as well as for an Outstanding Achievement In Film Sound Editing Primetime Emmy Award for "The Lindbergh Kidnapping Case" in 1976. In the seventies and the eighties, Andrews devoted his time to various credits, such as "The Dain Curse" (1977-78), "The Gift" (CBS, 1979-1980) and "The Wanderers" with Ken Wahl (1979). He also worked on "The Warriors" (1979) starring Michael Beck and "Little Darlings" (1980). He also was featured in the TV movies "Sentimental Journey" (CBS, 1984-85) and "The Lost Capone" (TNT, 1990-91). Most recently, Andrews appeared in "Plainsong" (CBS, 2003-04).
