Zara Cully was an actress who made a successful career for herself in film. Cully found her beginnings in film with roles in the Lee J. Cobb drama "The Liberation of L.B. Zara Cully was an actress who made a successful career for herself in film. Cully found her beginnings in film with roles in the Lee J. Cobb drama "The Liberation of L.B. Jones" (1970) and the drama "Wusa" (1970) with Paul Newman. Later, she acted in the Sidney Poitier fantasy "Brother John" (1971), "A Dream For Christmas" (ABC, 1973-74) and "Sugar Hill" (1974). She also appeared in the comedy "Darktown Strutters" (1975) with Trina Parks. Later in her career, Cully acted on "The Jeffersons" (CBS, 1975-1985). Cully passed away in February 1978 at the age of 86.
