Nicholas Cortland was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. In 1976, he starred in three productions at the American Conservatory Theater's 10th-anniversary season in San Francisco. In 1975, he appeared in "The Day of the Locust." Cortland began his career with a role in the horror feature "Frogs" (1972) with Ray Milland. Cortland next focused his career on film, appearing in the Donald Sutherland adventure "Bear Island" (1979). Later in his career, Cortland acted in the drama "New York Nights" (1982) with George Ayer. Cortland passed away in August 1988 at the age of 48.
