Bill Cort was an accomplished actor, noted for his comedic timing in his roles for television shows. He began his acting career with roles in the series "Dusty's Trail" (1973), "The Montefuscos" (NBC, 1975-76) and "A.E.S. Hudson Street" (ABC, 1977-78). He also appeared in "Perfect Strangers" (ABC, 1985-1993). He also appeared in the TV movie "Haywire" (CBS, 1979-1980). He had an early role on the television special "Things Are Looking Up" (CBS, 1983-84). In the early stages of his Hollywood career, Cort held acting roles in films like the musical "Breakin' 2 Electric Boogaloo" (1985) with Lucinda Dickey. He continued his comedic performances throughout the eighties, appearing on"Empty Nest" (NBC, 1988-1995). His work around this time also included a part on the TV movie "Go Toward the Light" (CBS, 1988-89). He also worked in television around this time, including a part on "Empty Nest" (NBC, 1988-1995). He also contributed to a variety of television specials, including "Rowdies" (1985-86), "Home Again" (ABC, 1987-88) and "Limited Partners" (CBS, 1987-88). During the latter part of his career, he tackled roles on "Quantum Leap" (1988-1993), "Dangerous Women" (1990-92) and "The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air" (1990-96). He also appeared in "Homefront" (ABC, 1991-93). Cort acted in films like the Winona Ryder crime flick "Heathers" (1989) and "Navy Seals" (1990) with Charlie Sheen. Cort more recently appeared in "Maid For Each Other" (NBC, 1991-92).
