Joan Cooper was an actress who had a successful Hollywood career. In 1969, she played a recurring role on "Dad's Army." In 1985, she had her final TV role on "Don't Wait Up." Cooper began her career with a role in the comedic adaptation "The Ruling Class" (1972) with Peter O'Toole. Cooper next focused her career on film, appearing in the musical comedy "The Bawdy Adventures of Tom Jones" (1976) with Nicky Henson. Later in her career, Cooper acted in "Sweet William" (1980). Cooper was married to Arthur Lowe and had one child. Cooper passed away in July 1989 at the age of 67.
