Biography
Vance Colvig was a prolific actor who created a name for himself largely on the big screen. Colvig worked on a variety of projects during his early entertainment career, including"American Pop" with Ron Thompson (1981), "Angel City" (1977) and "For the Love of It" (ABC, 1980-81). He also contributed to "Metalstorm: The Destruction of Jared-Syn" with Jeffrey Byron (1983) and "Yogi Bear" (1960-62). He continued to act in productions like "My Chauffeur" (1986) with Deborah Foreman, "Barfly" (1987) with Mickey Rourke and the fantastical comedy "Maid to Order" (1987) with Ally Sheedy. He also appeared in the action movie "Dudes" (1988) with Jon Cryer and the Bill Paxton comedy "Pass the Ammo" (1988). Toward the end of his career, he tackled roles in the thriller "Track 29" (1988) with Theresa Russell, the George Segal comedy "All's Fair" (1989) and the Weird Al Yankovic comedy "UHF" (1989). He also was featured in the TV movie "Mother Goose Rock 'n' Rhyme" (Disney, 1989-1990). Colvig more recently appeared in "Boris and Natasha" (Showtime, 1991-92).
