Biography
Throughout her Hollywood career, Yolanda Adams had a variety of powerful musical performances. Adams worked on a variety of projects during her early entertainment career, including "10th Annual Soul Train Music Awards" (Warner Bros. Television Network, 1995-96), "Gospel's Greatest Performances: 30 Years of the Dove Awards" (ION Television Network, 1998-99) and "In the House" (UPN, 1995-97). She also contributed to "The 10th Essence Awards" (Fox, 1996-97), "The 7th Annual Stellar Gospel Music Awards" and "The Best of Bobby Jones Gospel" (PBS, 1993-94). In the early 2000s, Adams devoted her time to various credits, such as "The 32nd Annual Dove Awards" "The 32nd NAACP Image Awards" (Fox, 2000-01) and "7th Annual Soul Train Lady of Soul Awards" (2001-02). She also worked on "Honey" (2003). Audiences might also recognize Adams's contributions to "Madea's Family Reunion" (2006), the Elijah Wood blockbuster animated adventure "Happy Feet" (2006) and "Tyler Perry's Madea Goes to Jail" (2009). In addition to her music, Adams also appeared on-screen in the dramatic musical "Hopeville" (2008) with Kirk Franklin. Most recently, Adams acted in the Ice Cube comedy sequel "Ride Along 2" (2016).
