Eric Scott
Biography
Biography
Actor Eric Scott didn't have to wait long before scoring his breakthrough role: he launched his professional acting career in 1971 with one-off appearances on the popular shows "Bewitched" and "Medical Center," and later that same year he secured the role of Ben Walton on the television movie "The Homecoming: A Christmas Story" which would transform a year later into the television series "The Waltons." Scott turned out to be only one of two other actors that would appear in all of the show's 200-plus episodes, alongside Jon Walmsley and Mary Beth McDonough. The Ben Walton character was known for his mischief-making ways; early on in the series he had dreams of becoming an airplane pilot, and would later have a family of his own. Although the series ended in 1981, various "Waltons" made-for-television movies surfaced during the 1980s and 1990s. Besides these sporadic television movies, Scott would rarely appear in other shows or films, and as of the early 21st century, appears to have retired from acting completely.
