Gretchen Berg is a television writer and producer best known for her work on "Pushing Daisies" and "Women's Murder Club." Berg studied at Northwestern University in Illinois, where she furthered her interest in drama and met writing partner Aaron Harberts. After graduating, she landed a job as a production assistant on the sitcom "Caroline in the City" and in 1998 joined the writing staff of the Aaron Spelling teen drama "Beverly Hills, 90210." Berg has since worked as a freelance writer on numerous television shows, including "Roswell," "Pushing Daisies," and "Wonderfalls." In addition to her writing responsibilities, Berg has also been an executive producer on a number of shows, including the short-lived "John Doe," about a crime-solving amnesiac, and the 2007-2008 series"Women's Murder Club," about a group of women who come together to solve murder cases. In 2006 Berg and Harberts served as writers, producers, and creators of "Pepper Dennis," a network sitcom that starred Rebecca Romijn as a Chicago news reporter struggling to balance family, work, and love. Since 2009 Berg has worked on the writing and producing team of "Mercy," a medical drama centered on the nurses of the fictional Mercy Hospital.
