Biography

On the resume of TV director John Behring, three programs stand out. The first is the now forgotten but important 2000-'02 Showtime drama "Resurrection Blvd.." Detailing the trials and tribulations of three generations of an East Los Angeles family, it was sort of a dress rehearsal at the network for many of the more acclaimed dramas that would begin to follow several years later. The next substantial multi-episode credit show for Behring was the WB fantasy drama "Charmed." Again, it was not a top-rank drama, but it ran for a very healthy eight years and proved once again the tastemaker instincts of show creator Aaron Spelling. Behring has also directed a number of episodes for the CBS crime drama "Numb3rs" which found its footing with audiences in the shadow of the more successful "CSI" and "Law & Order" franchises. Behring has actually dabbled on the "CSI" side as well as directed a small number of episodes for various other shows, everything from "V" to one of the earliest installments of "The Mentalist."
