Snyder kickstarted her acting career with roles in various dramas, such as "Murder, She Wrote" (CBS, 1984-1996) and "Chicago Hope" (CBS, 1994-2000). She also was featured in the miniseries "Innocent Victims" (1995-96). She also appeared in the TV movie "Race Against Time: The Search For Sarah" (CBS, 1995-96). In the nineties and the early 2000s, Snyder worked on predominantly television shows such as "Jesse" (1998-2000) and "Yes, Dear" (CBS, 2000-06). During these years, she additionally appeared in film, receiving a role in the Kevin Spacey dramatic adaptation "Pay It Forward" (2000). She also contributed to a variety of television specials, including "Funny Flubs & Screw Ups VII" (2000-01), "CBS's Funny Flubs & Screw-Ups (11/09/01)" (CBS, 2001-02) and "CBS's Funny Flubs & Screw-Ups (11/16/01)" (CBS, 2001-02).
