Gary Chapman worked on a variety of projects during his entertainment career. In the early stages of his Hollywood career, Chapman acted in comedies like "The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas" (1982) starring Burt Reynolds. He also appeared in the TV movie "Bandit: Bandit Goes Country" (1993-94). He had a part on the television special "Amy Grant... Headin' Home For the Holidays" (NBC, 1986-87). Chapman also contributed music to the Mel Gibson box office smash action movie "Maverick" (1994). In the nineties, Chapman devoted his time to various credits, such as "Sam's Place Christmas Special" (The Nashville Network, 1995-96), "Farm Aid 96" (The Nashville Network, 1996-97) and "Kathie Lee: Just in Time For Christmas" (CBS, 1996-97). He also worked on "The 32nd Annual Academy of Country Music Awards" (NBC, 1996-97). Chapman continued to exercise his talent in the nineties, taking on a mix of projects like "Canadian Country Music Awards" (The Nashville Network, 1997-98), "Prime Time Country Celebrates 15 Years of TNN" (The Nashville Network, 1997-98) and "TNN Music City News Post Awards Special" (The Nashville Network, 1997-98).
