Biography

Natacha Lindinger was a well-traveled child and lived all over the world because of her parents' work, developing a worldliness that would suit her well as an actress later on. Lindinger exudes an air of glamour and sophistication in whatever she does. She landed several commercial jobs and acted on stage as well, eventually segueing into television roles, most notably in "Nestor Burma," about a Parisian private detective and based on the novels by Léo Malet. In 1995, Lindinger earned acclaim for her performance in the romantic thriller "Passion mortelle." Viewers outside of France got a chance to see Lindinger's appeal when she landed a major part as the female lead going toe-to-toe with macho heavyweights Jean-Claude Van Damme, Mickey Rourke, and basketball star Dennis Rodman in Tsui Hark's action film "Double Team." Lindinger plays Van Damme's wife in the picture, who is kidnapped by an international terrorist, played by Rourke. Some of Lindinger's other notable performances can be seen in the "DaVinci Code"-like secret society miniseries "The Spear of Destiny," about the search for the spear that pierced Christ's side; the period drama "1788... et demi," in which she plays one of the leads; and the series "Hard," in which she stars as a woman who finds out that her deceased husband was involved in making hardcore pornography.
