He additionally landed roles in the TV movies "Secret Weapon" (TNT, 1990) and "Cracker: True Romance" (1996-97). He kept working in film throughout the nineties and the early 2000s, starring in the action film "The Parole Officer" (2001) with Steve Coogan and "The History Boys" (2006) with Richard Griffiths. In his more recent career, he tackled roles in the Emily Blunt historical love story "The Young Victoria" (2009) and the Robert Downey Jr. smash hit action flick "Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows" (2011). He also had a part in the TV miniseries "Parade's End" (2012). Most recently, Mitchell acted in the Hugh Bonneville adventure for the whole family "Paddington" (2015).
