The origin of Joseph Adams's acting career goes back to when he was just nine years old. He had a part on the television special "Gunplay: The Last Day in the Life of Brian Darling" (HBO, 1990-91). Adams worked in television around the start of his acting career with a role on "Baywatch" (1989-1999). He also starred in the TV movies "Consenting Adult" (1984-85), "Three on a Match" (NBC, 1986-87) and "Cop Killer" (ABC, 1988-89). He continued to work steadily in television throughout the nineties, appearing on "Law & Order" (1990-2010), "The Sopranos" (HBO, 1998-2006) and "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" (NBC, 1999-). He also starred in the TV movies "The Heidi Chronicles" (TNT, 1995-96) and "Point Last Seen" (CBS, 1998-99). More recently, he tackled roles on "Law & Order: Criminal Intent" (2001-2011), "Dirty Sexy Money" (ABC, 2007-09) and "Gossip Girl" (CW, 2007-2013). He also appeared in "The Blacklist" (NBC, 2013-).
