Biography
Alan McKenna's talent as an actor was best showcased by his dramatic film work. In the beginning of his acting career, McKenna starred in comedies like "An American Werewolf in Paris" (1997) starring Tom Everett Scott and the Peter Howitt film "Dangerous Parking" (2008). He worked in television in his early acting career as well, including a part on "Midsomer Murders" (ITV 1, 1996). His passion for acting continued to his roles in projects like the Andy Serkis dramatic musical "Sex & Drugs & Rock & Roll" (2010), the drama "5 Days of War" (2011) with Rupert Friend and the Danny Dyer foreign "7 Lives" (2011). In his more recent career, he continued to act in "The Somnambulists" (2012) with Jack Monaghan and the Gugu Mbatha-Raw dramatic biopic "Belle" (2014). He held additional roles in television including a part on "Happy Valley" (BBC 1, 2014-). Most recently, McKenna acted in the thriller "Pressure" (2015) with Danny Huston.
