Biography
Michel Camilo worked on a variety of projects during his entertainment career. He appeared in a number of television specials, including "Newport Jazz '91" (PBS, 1991-92) and "A Salute to the Newport Jazz Festival" (PBS, 1993-94). Camilo also contributed music to the William Hurt dramatic comedy "Broadcast News" (1987). He also contributed to a variety of television specials, including "Jacksonville Jazz XIV" (PBS, 1993-94) and "Newport Jazz '93" (PBS, 1993-94). He also had roles in film during these years, including roles in the documentary "Calle 54" (2000) with Tito Puente. Camilo also created music for the Pere Ponce comedy "Amo Tu Cama Rica" (1994). Camilo most recently appeared in "The 1st Annual Latin Grammy Awards" (CBS, 2000-01).
