Stephanie Romanov
Biography
Biography
Actress Stephanie Romanov dreamed of performing from an early age, precociously staging her own plays with neighborhood children when she wasn't acting in official school productions. At the age of 15 she was spotted by John Casablancas from the Elite Model agency and ended up doing photo shoots in Europe and New York. In the early 1990s, she left the glitz of modelling for the glamour of Hollywood, first playing supermodel Teri Spencer on the short-lived Aaron Spelling serial dramas "Melrose Place" and "Models Inc.." She then landed guest spots on the crime shows "Burke's Law" (a revamped version of the 1960s program) and the gritty "Homicide: Life on the Street." She continued to land roles throughout the rest of the decade, but it was her part as bitchy, conniving lawyer Lilah Morgan in Joss Whedon's "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" spin-off "Angel" that she is most known for. Romanov has also appeared in feature films, including the true-life Cuban Missile Crisis drama "Thirteen Days" as First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy, the science fiction film "The Final Cut" with Robin Williams, and the indie romance "Last Night" with Keira Knightley and Sam Worthington. In 2001, Romanov married Nick Wechsler in Cambodia.
