He then acted in "Sarah Vaughan: The Divine One" (PBS, 1990-91) and the Denzel Washington dramatic adaptation "The Preacher's Wife" (1996). More recently, Haynes appeared on "The Jazz Baroness" (HBO, 2009-2010).
