Joseph Chapman was an accomplished actor who appeared in a variety of films throughout his Hollywood career. He had an early role on the television special "Judgment Day" (NBC, 1981-82). He additionally landed roles in the TV movies "Charleston" (1978-79), "Father Damien: The Leper Priest" (NBC, 1980-81) and "Jacqueline Bouvier Kennedy" (ABC, 1981-82). Chapman launched his entertainment career by acting in films like the drama "Crimes of Passion" (1984) with Kathleen Turner. He then appeared in the comedic adventure "Mac and Me" (1988) with Christine Ebersole, the Bill Cosby comedy "Ghost Dad" (1990) and "Funny About Love" (1990). Most recently, Chapman acted on "Providence" (NBC, 1998-2003).
