Sally Champlin was an actress best known for her portrayal of characters throughout various television series. Champlin kickstarted her acting career with roles in various dramas, such as "Murder, She Wrote" (CBS, 1984-1996), "L.A. Law" (NBC, 1986-1994) and "Beverly Hills 90210" (Fox, 1990-2000). She also appeared in the TV movie "Murder in Paradise" (NBC, 1989-1990). Several more television roles followed in the nineties and the early 2000s, including stints on "Frasier" (1993-2004), "Becker" (CBS, 1998-2004) and "Crossing Jordan" (NBC, 2001-07). She also starred in the TV movies "An Element of Truth" (CBS, 1995-96) and "Lightning in a Bottle" (Lifetime, 1995-96). More recently, she tackled roles on "L.A. Dragnet" (2002-04), "The Suite Life of Zack & Cody" (Disney, 2004-07) and "Heroes" (NBC, 2006-2010). She also appeared in "The Game" (2006-15).
