Biography

Actor Lino Capolicchio appeared on the big screen many times over the course of his Hollywood career. Capolicchio started his acting career landing roles in such films as "The Taming of the Shrew" (1967), the romance "The Love Circle" (1969) with Jean-Louis Trintignant and "An Esteemed Professional Man, With a Sure Future" (1971). He also appeared in "Body of Love" (1972), "For Love One Dies" (1972) with Silvana Mangano and "Last Days of Mussolini" (1974). His film career continued throughout the eighties and the nineties in productions like the action flick "Lion of the Desert" (1981) with Anthony Quinn, "The False One" (1986) and "Last Momemt" (1988). He also appeared in "We Three" (1991) and the dramedy "Brothers and Sisters" (1992) with Franco Nero. He also worked in television around this time, including a part on "The Life of Verdi" (PBS, 1983-84). Film continued to be his passion as he played roles in the Claudio Bigagli drama "Fiorile" (1994), "The Garden of the Finzi-Continis" (1996) and "La Strelle Nel Fosso" (1999). He also appeared in the Michel Piccoli drama "Travelling Companion" (2000) and the Carlo Cecchi suspenseful adaptation "Un Delitto Impossibile" (2001). Most recently, Capolicchio acted in "Una Sconfinata Giovinezza" (2010) with Fabrizio Bentivoglio.
