Biography

Gene Canfield rose to fame as an actor, gracing the silver screen many times over the course of his Hollywood career. Early on in his acting career, Canfield landed roles in various films, including the Al Pacino crime feature "Sea of Love" (1989), "Goodfellas" (1990) and the Doug E Doug dramedy "Hangin' With the Homeboys" (1991). He also appeared in the Harley Cross thriller "The Boy Who Cried B*tch" (1991), the Annabella Sciorra thriller "Whispers in the Dark" (1992) and the Diane Lane comedy "My New Gun" (1992). He continued to work steadily in film throughout the nineties, appearing in "Romeo Is Bleeding" (1994), "Bullets Over Broadway" (1994) with John Cusack and "Big Night" (1996). He also appeared in the crime picture "Bullet" (1997) with Mickey Rourke. Film continued to be his passion as he played roles in the crime flick "The Yards" (2000) with Mark Wahlberg and "Riding in Cars With Boys" (2001) with Drew Barrymore. Canfield most recently appeared in "For One More Day" (ABC, 2007-08).
