Biography
Dee Dee Bridgewater was a jazz artist who made a career for herself in Hollywood. She also appeared in the TV movie "Night Partners" (CBS, 1983-84). During the early stages of her acting career, Bridgewater worked in films like the Joe Morton sci-fi fantasy "The Brother From Another Planet" (1984). She also contributed to a variety of television specials, including "Carnegie Hall Salutes the Jazz Masters" (PBS, 1993-94) and "The Kennedy Center 25th Anniversary Celebration" (PBS, 1995-96). She also worked in television around this time, including a part on "Highlander: The Series" (1992-98). Bridgewater had a number of different projects under her belt in the nineties and the early 2000s, including "Corps Plonges" (1998), "The 4th Annual Soul Train Lady of Soul Awards" and "Monster-in-Law" (2005) starring Jennifer Lopez. Most recently, Bridgewater worked on "The International Jazz Day All-Star Global Concert" (ABC, 2015-).
