Second collaboration with Kheifitz "Baltic Deputy" won them popular and official acclaim

Worked with Kheifitz on "Member of the Government"; known as the classic Soviet film of its era

During WWII the pair directed "He Is Called Sukhe-Bator"

Second collaboration with Kheifitz during the war was "Malakhov-Kurgan"
