Yuen's earliest roles were in film, including the romance "Champagne For Two" (1987) with Nicholas Campbell, the David Hewlett horror sequel "Scanners II: the New Order" (1991) and the Patrick Bergin action movie "Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's The Lost World" (1998). He also appeared in the dramatic musical "The Red Violin" (1999) with Samuel L. Jackson, the dramatic adaptation "The Bone Collector" (1999) with Denzel Washington and the action picture "Battlefield Earth" (2000) with John Travolta. His passion for acting continued to his roles in projects like "Possible Worlds" (2000) with Tilda Swinton, the Lindy Booth drama "Century Hotel" (2001) and the Ric Young dramatic comedy "Long Life, Happiness and Prosperity" (2002). In his more recent career, he continued to act in the Dennis Quaid box office smash sci-fi feature "The Day After Tomorrow" (2004), "My First Wedding" (2006) and "Slow Burn" (2007).
