Biography
John Wylie was an actor who founded his entertainment career success with roles in film. Wylie started his entertainment career by acting in comedies like "Hanky Panky" (1982) with Gene Wilder and Gilda Radner and "Fletch Lives" (1989). He also appeared in the TV movie "Daddy, I Don't Like It Like This" (CBS, 1977-78). He worked in television in his early acting career as well, including a part on "Law & Order" (NBC, 1990-2010). He also appeared in the TV special "Renaissance" (PBS, 1992-93). Following that project, he worked on the Joe Pantoliano comedy adventure "Robot in the Family" (1994) and the Tim Robbins comedy "The Hudsucker Proxy" (1994). Wylie focused on film in more recent years, appearing in the Meryl Streep dramatic adaptation "Before and After" (1996) and the dramatic adaptation "Trade" (2007) with Kevin Kline. He also worked in television during these years, including a part on "In Plain Sight" (USA, 2007-2012). Wylie most recently acted on "Vegas" (CBS, 2012-13).
