Biography

While still enrolled at UCLA, Lisa Wilcox took a month off to play a cheerleader in the 1984 comedy "Gimme an "F."" Although that film failed to resonate with audiences, Wilcox refused to give up on acting, and after earning her Bachelor of Arts degree, went on to play the lead role of Alice Johnson in the 1988 horror film "A Nightmare on Elm Street 4: The Dream Master." The phenomenal box office success of that film catapulted Wilcox into the national spotlight, and she reprised her role as Alice Johnson the following year in "A Nightmare on Elm Street: The Dream Child." Although her career never achieved the same level of success as it did with "The Nightmare on Elm Street " movies, Wilcox continued to act throughout the '90s, mostly guest-starring on television shows like "Murder, She Wrote," "Walker, Texas Ranger," and "Chicago Hope." In 2000 she appeared as the lead in the Academy Award-nominated student short film "The All New Adventures of Chastity Blade."
