Biography
Thomas Wheatley was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. Wheatley began his acting career appearing mainly in films, such as the drama "Honest, Decent and True" (1985) with Derrick O'Connor, the Adrian Edmondson comedy "Mr. Jolly Lives Next Door" (1987) and the action flick "The Living Daylights" (1987) with Timothy Dalton. He also appeared in the TV movie "The Singing Detective" (PBS, 1987-88). His work around this time also included a part on the TV movie "Just Another Secret" (USA, 1989-1990). He also appeared in the TV special "A Perfect Hero" (PBS, 1991-92). During these years, he also worked in film, earning a part in the dramatic adaptation "Where Angels Fear to Tread" (1992) with Helena Bonham Carter. He held additional roles in television including a part on "Second Sight II" (PBS, 2000-01). He also appeared in the Matthew Macfadyen comedy "Death at a Funeral" (2007). Additionally, he appeared on the television special "Madame Bovary" (PBS, 1999-2000). Most recently, Wheatley worked on "Tomorrowland" (2015) with George Clooney.
