Laura Waterbury was an accomplished actress, noted for her comedic timing in her roles for television shows. Waterbury's early roles were in comedies like "Better Off Dead" (1985) and the Mark Harmon film "Summer School" (1987). She also appeared in the TV movie "Who Gets the Friends?" (CBS, 1987-88). She worked in series television while getting her start in acting, including a part on "Cheers" (NBC, 1982-1993). She continued to work steadily in sitcoms throughout the eighties, appearing on "Empty Nest" (NBC, 1988-1995), "Murphy Brown" (CBS, 1988-1998) and "Seinfeld" (NBC, 1989-1998). She also had roles in film during these years, including roles in the Christine Ebersole comedy adventure "Mac and Me" (1988) and the Rick Moranis blockbuster comedic adventure "Honey, I Shrunk The Kids" (1989). Toward the end of her career, she tackled roles on "Bob" (1992-94), "Mad About You" (NBC, 1992-99) and "Frasier" (NBC, 1993-2004). Additionally, she could be seen on a variety of television specials like "Tim Conway's Funny America (04/29/90)" (ABC, 1989-1990). Waterbury more recently worked on "Jefferson in Paris" (1995).
