Biography
Nina Varela was an actress who had a successful Hollywood career. Varela started off her career in film with roles in the dramatic biopic "Viva Zapata!" (1952) with Marlon Brando and the crime feature "Niagara" (1953) with Marilyn Monroe. Varela then began to rack up a number of film credits, including roles in the Susan Hayward historical romance "The President's Lady" (1953), "Love With the Proper Stranger" (1963) with Natalie Wood and "Madigan" (1968). Later in her career, Varela acted in the drama "The Christian Licorice Store" (1971) with Beau Bridges.
