Berlinda Tolbert
Biography
Biography
Although her character on the hit television show "The Jeffersons" wasn't as celebrated as those of George or Louise Jefferson, actress Berlinda Tolbert managed to appear consistently on the show throughout its 11-season run. Tolbert got her acting career started in the early 1970s with one-off appearances on such shows as "That's My Mama," "Sanford and Son," and "The Streets of San Francisco." But it was Jenny Willis Jefferson on "The Jeffersons" that was Tolbert's best-known role. As the girlfriend (and later wife) of the Jeffersons' son, Lionel, Tolbert would appear in a total of 65 episodes of the Emmy Award-winning show over the years. After "The Jeffersons" wrapped up, Tolbert would go on to appear in such hit movies as "Harlem Nights" and "Goodfellas," but mostly in one-off appearances on television shows ("Dream On," "Sabrina, the Teenage Witch," "ER," "Six Feet Under," "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation," etc.).
