Biography

Joan Taylor was a prolific actress who created a name for herself largely on the big screen. Early on in her acting career, Taylor landed roles in various films, including "The Savage" (1952) with Charlton Heston, the comedy adaptation "Rose Marie" (1954) with Ann Blyth and "Apache Woman" (1955). She also appeared in "Earth vs. the Flying Saucers" (1956). Her film career continued throughout the fifties in productions like "Girls in Prison" (1956), "20 Million Miles to Earth" (1957) and the Cornel Wilde adventure "Omar Khayyam" (1957). Taylor had a number of different projects under her belt in the fifties through the nineties, including "The Rifleman" (ABC, 1958-1963), "An Invasion of Privacy" (CBS, 1982-83) and "Fools Rush In" (1997). Most recently, Taylor worked on "Heart of a Stranger" (Lifetime, 2002-03).
