Biography

Actor Jim Boles appeared on the big screen many times over the course of his Hollywood career. Boles's career in acting began with his roles in various films like "The Tattooed Stranger" (1950), the Barry Nelson drama "The Man With My Face" (1951) and the Kathy Carlyle drama "The Pusher" (1960). He also appeared in "Fate Is the Hunter" (1964) with Glenn Ford, the comedic adaptation "The Trouble With Angels" (1966) with Rosalind Russell and the comedy adaptation "A Big Hand For the Little Lady" (1966) with Henry Fonda. He continued to work steadily in film throughout the sixties, appearing in the James Coburn comedy "Waterhole Number 3" (1967), "P.J." (1968) with George Peppard and "Angel in My Pocket" (1968) with Andy Griffith. In the latter part of his career, he continued to act in the horror film "Doctor Death: Seeker of Souls" (1973) with John Considine, "Once Is Not Enough" (1975) and "The Apple Dumpling Gang" (1975). He also appeared in the action film "Dynamite Woman" (1976) with Claudia Jennings. He also was featured in the TV movie "The Healers" (NBC, 1973-74). Boles more recently appeared in "The Haunted Trailer" (ABC, 1976-77). Boles passed away in May 1977 at the age of 63.
