British-born actor Tommy Steele found a second home in the Hollywood cinema, starring in a number of successful films throughout his Hollywood career. Steele was nominated for a New Star Of The Year - Actor Golden Globe Award in 1967. Steele was nominated for a Golden Globe Award in 1967. Steele marked his early career with roles in "The Perry Como Springtime Special" (NBC, 1965-66) and "Happiest Millionaire" (1967). Later, Steele acted in "Finian's Rainbow" (1968) with Fred Astaire, "Half a Sixpence" (1968) and "Twelfth Night" (1989-1990). Steele's music was most recently featured in the John Goodman box office smash animated movie "The Flintstones" (1994).
