Biography
Robert Starr was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. He worked in television in his early acting career as well, including a part on "Cheers" (NBC, 1982-1993). He also starred in the TV movies "Amelia Earhart" (NBC, 1976-77) and "Night Cries" (ABC, 1977-78). He continued to work steadily in sitcoms throughout the eighties and the nineties, appearing on "Wings" (1989-1997) and "Room For Two" (ABC, 1991-93). He also had roles in film during these years, including roles in the comedy "Summer Rental" (1985) with John Candy and the James Caan action movie "Alien Nation" (1988). In his more recent career, he tackled roles on "Madman of the People" (NBC, 1994-95) and "7th Heaven" (1995-2007). He also appeared in "Three Wishes" (1995) with Patrick Swayze. He also was featured in the TV movie "Ruby Jean and Joe" (Showtime, 1995-96). Starr more recently acted on "The Wayans Bros" (1996-99).
