Biography
An actress who has specialized in suds, former model Michelle Stafford went from playing the evil Phyllis Romalotti on the CBS daytime drama "The Young and the Restless" to playing Joanna Hadley, the strong heroine of the primetime Fox serial "Pacific Palisades" (1997). The attractive redhead seemingly was born to do Sturm und Drang. After establishing herself as a model in Europe and the USA, she began her acting career in the short-lived teen soap opera "Tribes" (Fox, 1990). Several years of scant employment followed and Stafford worked selling rollerblades and vegetable choppers at swap meets. She picked up infrequent jobs, such as a guest shot on Fox's "Models, Inc." for producer Aaron Spelling in 1994 and a bit part as a hotel guest in the syndicated TV-movie "Another Midnight Run" (1994).
To date, her feature film work has been in efforts of the decidedly grade-B, low-budget, "soon to be on a video shelf near you" variety, with names such as "Roadkill" "The Desert" and "Body of Influence" (1993).
