Biography
Neophyte screenwriter Anne Spielberg hit a homerun her first time at bat with the critically and commercially successful "Big" (1988) which recounted the experiences of a twelve-year-old boy who is magically transformed into an adult overnight. Her teleplay for a poignant episode of "Amazing Stories" dealt with a little boy who retreats into a private fantasy world because his social climbing parents have no time for him. On evidence of these two works, it appears that Spielberg shares some of the thematic concerns of her famous younger brother Steven Spielberg.
