Sydney Smith found incredible success as an accomplished actor, appearing in a variety of films throughout his Hollywood career. Smith marked his early career with roles in "Home" (1953-57), the western "Fury at Showdown" (1957) with John Derek and the comedy adaptation "No Time For Sergeants" (1958) with Andy Griffith. Smith made film his next project, appearing in the Robert Taylor crime picture "Party Girl" (1958), "Tonka" (1958) with Sal Mineo and the Audie Murphy adaptation "Apache Rifles" (1964). Smith's music was most recently featured in "Victory" (2000). Smith passed away in March 1978 at the age of 69.
