Biography
Cyril Smith was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. Smith began his career with roles in the comedy adaptation "Waltzes From Vienna" (1934) with Jessie Matthews, the drama "St. Martin's Lane W.C.2" (1938) with Charles Laughton and the Rex Harrison dramatic adaptation "Escape" (1948). Smith made film his next project, appearing in the John Mills drama "The History of Mr. Polly" (1949), the Paul Henreid drama "Stolen Face" (1952) and the drama "Svengali" (1955) with Donald Wolfit. He also appeared in "Value For Money" (1955). Later in his career, Smith acted in "On the Fiddle" (1961). Smith passed away in March 1963 at the age of 71.
