During the remainder of the '70s, Schaal worked on classic shows including the comedy "Rhoda" and the dramas "Family" and "Little House on the Prairie." It was finally in '05 that Schaal landed her first major role, as the voice of Francine Smith, wife of CIA agent Stan Smith, on the Fox animated series "American Dad!," created by and co-starring Seth MacFarlane of "Family Guy" fame.
