Biography
Richard Ryder was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. He additionally landed roles in the TV movies "Threesome" (CBS, 1984-85) and "The Laker Girls" (CBS, 1989-1990). Ryder worked in television around the start of his acting career with a role on "Designing Women" (CBS, 1986-1993). Several more television roles followed in the nineties, including stints on "Star Trek: Deep Space Nine" (1992-99) and "Harts of the West" (CBS, 1993-94). His work around this time also included a part on the TV movie "Cries Unheard: The Donna Yaklich Story" (CBS, 1993-94). Additionally, he later acted in the dramatic adventure "Forever Young" (1992) with Mel Gibson. He held additional roles in television including a part on "Party of Five" (Fox, 1994-2000). He also was featured in the TV movies "When the Dark Man Calls" (USA, 1994-95) and "The Scream Team" (Disney, 2002-03). Most recently, Ryder acted on "Wild Card" (Lifetime, 2002-04).
