Biography
Jane Rose was an actress who had a successful Hollywood career. Rose's early acting career mostly consisted of roles in various films, such as "Summertime" (1955) with Katharine Hepburn, the Marlene Dietrich dramatic comedy "The Monte Carlo Story" (1957) and "1 + 1 - Exploring the Kinsey Reports" (1961). She worked in series television while getting her start in acting, including a part on "The Secret Storm" (CBS, 1953-1974). Her passion for acting continued to her roles in projects like "Flipper" (1963) and the drama "I Walk the Line" (1970) with Gregory Peck. She held additional roles in television including a part on "Phyllis" (CBS, 1975-77). Additionally, she could be seen on a variety of television specials like "Enemies" (1973-74), "The Addams Family" (NBC, 1977-78) and "Co-Ed Fever" (CBS, 1978-79). Rose last appeared in "Roots: The Next Generations" (1978-79). Rose passed away in June 1979 at the age of 66.
