Biography
Joanna Roos was an actress who had a successful Hollywood career. Roos worked on a variety of projects during her early entertainment career, including "As the World Turns" (CBS, 1955-2010), "Love of Life" (CBS, 1951-1980) and "Search For Tomorrow" (CBS, 1951-1987). She also worked in television around this time, including a part on "Today Is Ours" (NBC, 1957-59). She also starred in the TV movies "Johnny Belinda" (NBC, 1958-59) and "Inherit the Wind" (NBC, 1965-66). She also had roles in film during these years, including roles in "Patterns" (1956) with Van Heflin, the Natalie Wood drama "Splendor in the Grass" (1961) and the dramatic adaptation "Two Weeks in Another Town" (1962) with Pierre Balmain. Roos more recently appeared in "The Rimers of Eldritch" (PBS, 1972-73). Roos passed away in May 1989 at the age of 88.
