Character actor Kim Robillard has appeared in television series, stage plays, commercials, and films, including "Rain Man" and "Cliffhanger." Robillard's first screen role came in NBC's police procedural "Hill Street Blues" in 1986. The next year, he made his film debut in the science-fiction comedy "Project X," starring Matthew Broderick and Helen Hunt. Robillard had an appearance on the courtroom drama "Matlock" before securing a role in the Tom Cruise and Dustin Hoffman drama "Rain Man," which won an Oscar for Best Picture. He subsequently appeared in the science-fiction series "Quantum Leap" and Steven Spielberg's fantasy adventure film "Hook," starring Hoffman and Robin Williams. In 1993, Robillard had a recurring role on the Emmy-winning ABC drama "The Wonder Years" as Mr. Dexter. He also was featured in the cult comedy series "The Larry Sanders Show," starring Garry Shandling and Rip Torn. In the hit 1993 thriller "Cliffhanger," with action hero Sylvester Stallone, Robillard had a small role as a pilot. After a number of guest spots on TV shows like the comedies "Will & Grace" and "3rd Rock from the Sun," Robillard was cast as Jimmy Cannon in Michael Mann's biopic "Ali," in which Will Smith played boxing legend Muhammad Ali. In 2003, he was featured in "Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines," with Arnold Schwarzenegger. That same year, he had a recurring role on the HBO drama "Carnivàle." With each year, Robillard consistently adds credits to his long resume.
