A prolific actor, Allen L Rickman made a name for himself in dramatic film. L Rickman started his acting career landing roles in such films as "I Was a Teenage Zombie" (1987), the action flick "Underground Terror" (1988) with Doc Dougherty and the horror film "Metamorphosis: The Alien Factor" (1991) with Tara Leigh. He also appeared in the James Urbaniak comedy "Aphrodisiac" (1998). His work around this time also included a part on the TV movie "You Don't Know Jack" (HBO, 2009-2010). In the nineties and the early 2000s, L Rickman worked on predominantly television shows such as "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" (NBC, 1999-) and "The Unusuals" (ABC, 2008-09). He also worked in film during these years, including a part on the dramedy "A Serious Man" (2009) with Michael Stuhlbarg. More recently, he tackled roles on "Blue Bloods" (2010-), "Boardwalk Empire" (HBO, 2010) and "Public Morals" (TNT, 2014-15). He also appeared in the John Turturro comedy "Fading Gigolo" (2014). Most recently, L Rickman acted in "The Cobbler" (2015).
