Biography
Charlie Rich's amazing voice and love of country music helped him become a world-class entertainer. He appeared in a number of television specials, including "Burt Reynolds' Late Show" (1973-74), "I Believe in Music" (NBC, 1973-74) and "Country Music Hit Parade" (CBS, 1975-76). He also landed roles in various films, such as the Robert Hays comedy adaptation "Take This Job and Shove It" (1981). Rich also contributed music to the adventure "Benji" (1974) with Higgins and "Every Which Way But Loose" (1978). In the eighties, Rich devoted his time to various credits, such as "Nionde kompaniet" (1987) starring Thomas Hanzon, "Weeds" (1987) starring Nick Nolte and "The Delinquents" (1989). Rich's music was most recently used in the dramatic adaptation "Wild" (2014) with Reese Witherspoon. Rich passed away in July 1995 at the age of 63.
