Adeline DeWalt Reynolds was an actress who had a successful Hollywood career. Reynolds's earliest roles were in film, including the comedy "Come Live With Me" (1941) with James Stewart, the romance "Iceland" (1942) with Sonja Henie and the mystery "Street of Chance" (1942) with Burgess Meredith. She also appeared in "Tales of Manhattan" (1942) and "Behind the Rising Sun" (1943). She kept working in film throughout the forties, starring in "Happy Land" (1943), the Robert Paige horror sequel "Son of Dracula" (1943) and "The Human Comedy" (1943). She also appeared in the Dorothy McGuire dramatic adaptation "A Tree Grows in Brooklyn" (1945). Film continued to be her passion as she played roles in the Bing Crosby comedy "Here Comes the Groom" (1951), the historical romance "Lydia Bailey" (1952) with Dale Robertson and the action picture "Pony Soldier" (1952) with Tyrone Power. She also appeared in the Barbara Stanwyck crime picture "Witness to Murder" (1954). Reynolds more recently acted in "The Ten Commandments" (1956). Reynolds passed away in August 1961 at the age of 99.
